YAKKUM Emergency Unit (YEU), with funding support from its partner Arbeiterwohlfahrt International (AWO International), partnered with village governments and the Cianjur Regency Population and Civil Registration Agency to provide identity card services to the community, especially elderly people, people with disabilities, and pregnant women. The activity took place in five villages in the Cugenang and Pacet Districts of Cianjur Regency.
Nia Novi Hertini, the head of Ciputri Village, appreciated the activity. She emphasized the importance of having identity cards for citizens and thanked YEU for its support in the production or renewal of KTP, KK, and KIA cards, especially for residents of Ciputri Village who are included in the elderly, people with disabilities, and pregnant women groups. During August, YEU with the Disdukcapil successfully assisted and implemented this program in five YEU-supported villages in Cianjur Regency. The activity demonstrated a joint commitment from various parties to ensure that every citizen has access to identity cards, which are a fundamental right of every citizen. The activity is a concrete step in addressing the basic needs of the community, especially the high risk group during disasters.
It is hoped that this activity can continue to benefit the community and help them access government assistance services through the identity cards they have received.
