Mount Ruang erupted again on Tuesday, 30 April 2024 and caused houses and roads to be covered in volcanic ash with a thickness of 2-3 cm. The local government extended the state of emergency for 14 days from 30 April - 13 May 2024 to anticipate continued eruption.
